The Hermitage is currently at full capacity and we must sadly turn away 200-300 cats per month. It costs us $1,000 per feline per year to provide medical care and shelter to our permanent and adoptable felines. To take in cats above our capacity would jeopardize the health and safety of those already in our care.
This is a contact list of other local groups that do cat rescue and adoption that may be able to help you place your cat. Like The Hermitage, these are all no-kill, non-profit groups. Any available room and procedures vary over time and are different for each organization. Please realize that the majority of staffing in these groups is done by volunteers, so it may take time for them to respond to your inquiries.
